# Rangkum

> Rangkum is a privacy-focused web application that turns audio and video recordings into timestamped transcripts and structured AI notes in Bahasa Indonesia or English.

Rangkum helps people understand meetings, lectures, interviews, podcasts, voice notes, and sales calls without replaying the entire recording.

## Core capabilities

- Upload supported audio or video files up to 50 MB, or record directly in the browser.
- Produce timestamped transcripts with click-to-seek playback.
- Produce structured notes: overview, participants, key points, decisions, follow-up actions, open questions, risks, facts and figures, notable quotes, topics, and keywords.
- Separate speakers when diarization is enabled.
- Search and edit transcripts; rename speakers.
- Export Markdown, SRT, VTT, and print-ready PDF.
- Create revocable public links with optional transcript/media access, passwords, and expiration.
- Try the core workflow in guest mode without creating an account.

## Privacy

Recordings are stored privately. Public access is opt-in and controlled by the recording owner. Password-protected, expired, missing, workspace, admin, and API pages are excluded from search indexing. Valid public summaries can provide a separate plain-text representation for language models.

## Languages

The interface supports Bahasa Indonesia and English. Recording-language detection and generated-summary language are configured separately.
